On November 27, the Foreign Minister of Armenia Ara Aivazian held a phone conversation with the Foreign Minister of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs. The Foreign Minister of Latvia congratulated Minister Aivazian on assuming the position and wished him success in his important mission.

The sides exchanged views on cooperation within bilateral and multilateral formats. In this regard both sides emphasized the readiness to undertake practical steps to further strengthen and expand the cooperation.

During the phone conversation, the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Latvia touched upon the latest developments in the region. The Foreign Minister of Armenia briefed his counterpart on the steps being undertaken to address the humanitarian crisis resulting from the Turkish-Azerbaijani large-scale aggression.

 

The Ministers emphasized the importance of addressing the issues of the peace process exclusively within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship.
