On November 21, within the framework of the visit of the Russian inter-ministerial delegation to Armenia. Foreign Ministers of Armenia Ara Aivazian had a meeting with Sergey Lavrov, the Foreign Minister of Russian Federation.

Welcoming the members of the delegation, Minister Aivazian emphasized the importance of the Armenian-Russian allied relations in maintaining peace and stability in the region, particularly in recent times. According to the Minister, recent developments have also profoundly changed the perception of regional stability and security.

Following the recent phone conversation, the Foreign Ministers of the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation exchanged views on a number of issues regarding bilateral and regional agenda.

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Russia highlighted the importance of maintaining the dynamics and intensity of the dialogue at various levels, including through reciprocal visits. Minister Aivazian accepted the invitation of Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov to pay a working visit to Moscow in the near future.
