Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan participated in the 130th online session of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe

On November 4, the 130th online session of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe was held where the Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan participated and made remarks.

Welcoming remarks were made by the Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the chair of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, the Alternate Minister of Foreign Affairs Miltiadis Varvitsiotis and the Secretary General of the Council of Europe Marija Pejčinović Burić.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Greek Chairmanship issued a statement entitled "Effectively responding to a public health crisis in full respect for human rights, democracy and the rule of law."

The 70th anniversary of the signing of the European Convention on Human Rights was celebrated within the framework of the ministerial meeting.
In his remarks, the Foreign Minister of Armenia presented the consequences of the large-scale aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh, accompanied by war crimes, violations of human rights and the CE legal framework.

Minister Mnatsakanyan urged to take necessary measures to ensure the organization's unimpeded access to the conflict zones.
