On October 18, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan held a phone conversation with Foreign Minister of Estonia Urmas Reinsalu.

Minister Mnatsakanyan informed his Estonian counterpart about the situation resulting from the large-scale war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh, the war crimes committed by Azerbaijan during hostilities, particularly manifested in deliberate targeting of civilian population and infrastructure, inhuman treatment and brutal killings of Armenian prisoners of war under their control, as well as continuous, deliberate shelling of cultural, religious and historical monuments.

Commending the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries towards the cessation of hostilities, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan considered it unacceptable that Azerbaijan blatantly neglects the ceasefire agreements reached through the mediation of Russia on October 10 and the mediation of France October 17.

In this context, Minister Mnatsakanyan also expressed his deep concern over Turkey's negative involvement in the regional processes, emphasizing that its destabilizing approach will have catastrophic consequences for regional peace and stability.

The interlocutors stressed the importance of implementing the agreements on the cessation of hostilities. Minister Mnatsakanyan reiterated Armenia's stance on the necessity of establishing a sustainable and verifiable ceasefire regime.
