Phone call of Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Kyrgyzstan

On May 8, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, Foreign Minister of Armenia, had a phone conversation with Chingiz Aidarbekov, Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan.

The counterparts exchanged views on the challenges posed by the COVID-19and steps aimed at addressing those challenges, by emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in that regard.

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Kyrgyzstan touched upon a wide rage of issues of bilateral agenda. The sides reaffirmed the mutual readiness to deepen collaboration in all possible directions and maintain the dynamics of dialogue established on different levels. The importance of resuming activities aimed at the implementation of bilateral programs after the stabilization of the situation and highlighted the holding of the upcoming session of the intergovernmental commission. 

The Ministers exchanged views on issues of cooperation within multilateral platforms and corresponding initiatives. In this context Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Chingiz Aidarbekov outlined the further steps to enhance cooperation between the member countries within the framework EAEU, CSTO and CIS. 

The Foreign Minister of Armenia and Kyrgyzstan discussed a number of issues of regional and international agenda.
