Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnastakanyan’s meeting with Nikos Christodoulides, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus.

On the margins of the Munich Security Conference, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with Nikos Christodoulides, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus.

The interlocutors touched upon a number of issues on the Armenia - Cyprus agenda commending the high level of Armenian - Cypriot interstate relations anchored on the centuries-old friendship of the two peoples.

Ministers Mnatsakanyan and Christodoulides discussed in detail the prospects of development of the Armenia-Greece-Cyprus trilateral format of cooperation established in 2019, and the details of preparations for the first summit to be held in April 2020 in Yerevan.

The interlocutors also touched upon the issues of the Armenia-EU partnership, underscoring the importance of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement - the new legal framework of Armenia’s relations with the EU, as well as the EU Member states.

Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Cyprus exchanged views on urgent issues of international and regional agenda. The sides underlined the importance of international cooperation in maintaining and strengthening regional security and stability.
