Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan's meeting with Michael Roth, Germany’s Minister of State for European Affairs

On February 13, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, who was in Germany in the delegation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, met with Michael Roth, Germany’s Minister of State for European Affairs.

Minister Mnatsakanyan noted with satisfaction that Armenia highly values the partnership, established with Germany. The interlocutors touched upon the details of joint programs and initiatives aimed at expanding the Armenian-German cooperation.

A wide range of issues on the EU-Armenia Partnership agenda was also touched upon. Both sides highlighted the role of the CEPA, the legal framework of the Armenia-EU partnership, in advancing Armenia's cooperation with the EU and EU member states. Underscoring that the main beneficiaries of the Armenia-EU partnership are the people, Mnatsakanyan highlighted the importance of the launch of the dialogue on visa liberalization with the EU countries.

In the course of the meeting, the sides discussed the process of large-scale reforms implemented by the Government of Armenia, aimed at strengthening democracy, rule of law, trust in the judicial system and fight against corruption.

The parties exchanged views on a wide range of issues on the international and regional agenda.
