Meeting between Deputy Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Georgia

On January 24, working meeting between Shavarsh Kocharyan, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia and Lasha Darsalia, Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

During the meeting a wide range of issues of bilateral interest was discussed. The sides highly appreciated the positive dynamics of implementation of the Protocol of the 10-th session of Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation Between the RA and Georgia. In particular, the importance of realization of joint projects in the fields of energy and transport, as well as further deepening of cooperation in tourism, humanitarian and other fields was highlighted.

The sides exchanged views on current regional and international issues and challenges and agreed on the crucial need of maintaining peace and stability in the region.

On the same day Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia was received by Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia. During the meeting Minister Mnatsakanyan highlighted tangible progress in Armenian-Georgian relations in achieved the recent period and emphasized the importance of implementation of the agreements reached between the leaders of Armenia and Georgia. In this context the atmosphere of close and efficient cooperation between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries was welcomed.
