On January 22 political consultations were held in Yerevan between Foreign Ministries of Armenia and Italy. The Armenian delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Avet Adonts, and the Italian delegation was led by Elisabetta Belloni, the Secretary General of Foreign Affairs of Italy.

During the consultations, the interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues concerning the Armenian-Italian bilateral political agenda, as well as commended the process of high-level bilateral political dialogue. The visit of prime minister Nikol Pashinyan to Italy in November 2019, the meetings held within that framework and the arrangements reached, as well as upcoming high-level mutual visits, were also touched upon.

In the course of consultations, the views were exchanged on a number of issues of mutual interest concerning regional and international agenda.

At the end of consultations Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan received Elisabetta Belloni. The interlocutors touched upon a number of regional and international issues, the latest developments and the approaches of the sides.
