Meeting of Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan with Philip Reeker, the US Acting Assistant Secretary of State for the European and Eurasian Affairs

On December 6, Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mntsakanyan who participated in the OSCE 26th Ministerial Conference in Bratislava met with Philip Reeker, the US Acting Assistant Secretary of State for the European and Eurasian Affairs. 

Touching upon the broad agenda of bilateral cooperation, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Philip Reeker exchanged views on the implementation of agreements reached within the framework of the Armenian-U.S. strategic dialogue and further steps to be taken.

In the context of reforms implemented by the  Government of Armenia, Foreign Minister highly appreciated the consistent support of the US to a number of programmes and initiatives.

The Foreign Minister of Armenia and the Acting Assistant Secretary of State for the  European and Eurasian Affairs exchanged views on the agenda issues of the OSCE Ministerial Conference.

The interlocutors touched upon a number of issues of the international and regional agenda.

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Philip Reeker exchanged views on the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan held with the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs on December 4 and followed by the statement of Heads of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries.

With this regard, the interlocutors highlighted the importance of creating an environment conducive to peace through maintaining and consolidating ceasefire as well as through implementing the agreements reached on preparing peoples for peace.
