On December 4, political consultations between the ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Peru were held through the videoconferencing platform. From the Armenian side, the discussion was led by the head of the Department of American Countries of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Arman Akopian, from the Peruvian side, by David Malaga, head of the Second European Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru.

The parties presented the recent domestic political developments in Armenia and Peru, as well as the process of ongoing reforms in both countries.

A wide range of Armenian-Peruvian relations was discussed, including the expansion of the legal framework, trade and economic cooperation, as well as cooperation on international platforms (UN, UNESCO, Forum of Ancient Civilizations), the development of tourism and cultural ties.

It was agreed to hold such discussions on a regular basis.
