Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Artsakh

On December 3, Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatakanyan met with Masis Mayilian, Foreign Minister of Artsakh.

During the meeting, the sides discussed in detail the expectations and priorities of Armenia and Artsakh ahead of the meeting to be held under the auspices of OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs on the margins of Bratislava Ministerial. 

The Foreign Minister of Armenia emphasized the importance of holding regular meetings in such format, noting that it provides a good opportunity to exchange views on the steps and perspectives of the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

In the context of implementing the commitment to prepare peoples for peace, the exchange programme of journalists from Armenia, Artsakh and Azerbaijan was emphasized.   

Minister Mnatsakanyan reaffirmed the necessity to adhere to the agreements reached on the consolidation of ceasefire in order to prevent incidents in the Line of Contact.   

Both sides underlined the necessity of full engagement of the Artsakh authorities that enjoy the mandate of its people in the peace process, especially on the substantive issues of the settlement.
