On October 24, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan received Li Hui, Special Envoy of the People’s Republic of China in the Eurasia Region.

Minister Mnatsakanyan, expressed his satisfaction with the Armenian-Chinese centuries-old relationship, based on mutual respect and trust, noting that Armenia attaches importance to the deepening and expanding of multi-sectoral cooperation with China.

The two sides underlined that visits and meetings between the two countries at various levels have significantly promoted the deepening of the Armenian-Chinese dialogue and contributed, inter alia, to the further development of cooperation in the fields of tourism, science and education.

The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with cooperation on multilateral platforms.

The Foreign Minister of Armenia and the Special Envoy of the Government of China exchanged detailed views on the urgent issues of international and regional importance.

At the request of the interlocutor Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan presented Armenia’s foreign policy priorities. In the context of the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Minister Mnatsakanyan reflected on Armenia’s approaches and principled stance.

The Foreign Minister of Armenia and the Special Envoy of the Government of China attached importance to the efforts for the peaceful settlement.

The  Envoy of the People’s Republic of China thanked Armenia for its stance on the “One China” principle.
