Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan’s meeting with Michael Christides, the Secretary General of the BSEC PERMIS

On October 8, Foreign Minister Mnatsakanyan received Michael Christides, the Secretary-General of the Permanent International Secretariat of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation.

Welcoming the Secretary-General, Foreign Minister highly appreciated the role of the BSEC in the advancement and promotion of regional cooperation. In this regard, Minister Mnatsakanyan expressed Armenia’s willingness to continue the efficient partnership and constructive engagement in the framework of the organization.  

The sides emphasized the importance of the High-Level Side Event "Harnessing the Power of Technology for Impact: BSEC Perspective of Regional Collaboration" and the discussions within its framework on October 7, organized by the Armenian Government and the BSEC in partnership with the UNDP. 

In the course of the meeting, the parties exchanged views on joint steps towards the implementation of priorities in the region, as outlined in the charter of the organization.
