Armenia established diplomatic relations with North Macedonia27 September, 2019
On September 27, on the sidelines the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Foreign Minister of North Macedonia Nikola Dimitrov signed a protocol on establishing diplomatic relations.
Both sides expressed hope that the establishment of diplomatic relations would open a new chapter between Armenia and North Macedonia in the development and further enhancement of relations, based on mutual respect and cooperation.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia emphasized Armenia's readiness to take effective steps to promote multilateral relations with North Macedonia. In this context, the parties stressed the importance of launching dialogue on various levels and holding political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs.
