Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan participated in the Foreign Ministers’ Meeting of the CSTO member states

On September 27 FM of Armenia participated in the meeting of Foreign Ministers of the CSTO member states held on the margins of the 74th session of the UNGA. 

The Ministers exchanged views on the issue of synchronizing their approaches to the issues on the 74th Session of the UNGA agenda, as well as their initiatives and mutual support in that regard. Foreign Ministers of the CSTO member-states touched upon the day-to-day work and processes within the organization.

Touching upon the issue of multilateral diplomacy, the Foreign Ministers agreed upon more efficient efforts towards cooperation and mutual support on international platforms. 

Minister Mnatsakanyan presented to his counterparts the recent developments in the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process as well as the meeting with the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group. Foreign Minister of Armenia stressed the importance of the common approach of the CSTO member states to maintaining and strengthening regional peace and security, including through non-violation of the politico-military balance. 

At the end of the meeting, the Foreign Ministers of the CSTO issued a statement on the 80th anniversary of the beginning of the Second World War.
