On July 9, within the framework of the OSCE Informal Ministerial Meeting in Slovakia, Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan had a meeting with Margot Wallström, Foreign Minister of Sweden.

The interlocutors exchanged views on a number of issues on the Armenian-Swedish agenda and reiterated the bilateral commitment to take practical steps towards its expansion and enrichment.

Minister Mnatsakanyan briefed his Swedish counterpart on Armenia's policy aimed at promoting human rights, strengthening democratic institutions and judicial reforms.

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Sweden commended the successfully developing cooperation between Armenia and Sweden within the framework of organizations and initiatives with the human rights agenda, including the Council of Europe, the OSCE, the EU Eastern Partnership.

At the request of his Swedish counterpart, Minister Mnatsakanyan briefed on the current situation around the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, Armenia's principled stance and approaches.
