The Meeting of Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan with Foreign Minister of Artsakh Masis Mayilyan

On July 5, Foreign Minister of Armenia  Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, who was in Artsakh on a working visit, met with Masis Mayilyan, Foreign Minister of Artsakh.

Foreign Minister Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan highlighted the importance of holding such regular meetings that create a good opportunity to thoroughly touch upon and assess the current stage of Nagorno-Karabakh peace process and outline further steps. “This reflects our first and foremost goal - strengthening the Nagorno-Karabakh’s engagement, and the latter’s ensurance has been our goal since the day one. This is very practical, pragmatic goal, because we really want a practical movement in the peaceful resolution. The involvement of the main subject of the conflict remains important”, the Foreign Minister of Armenia mentioned. 

The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Artsakh touched upon a range of issues concerning the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process. The parties outlined the undertaking of genuine steps towards creating an atmosphere conducive for promoting the peace process. 

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Masis Mayilyan touched upon the cooperation between the Foreign Ministries of Armenia and Artsakh in different spheres and the reciprocal steps towards broadening Artsakh’s engagement in international processes. 

At the end of meeting the Foreign Ministers signed a plan of consultations between Armenia and Artsakh, which envisages conducting regular consultations on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and issues of foreign political interest. 

Afterwards, the Foreign Minister of Armenia and Masis Mayilyan had a briefing with media representatives.
