The meeting of Zohrab Mnatsakanyan with David Hale, the U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs

On June 19, in Washington D.C., Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with David Hale, the U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs.

The interlocutors commended the positive dynamics in partnery and friendly relations between Armenia and the U.S. Both sides particularly highlighted the establishment of the Armenia-U.S. Strategic Dialogue platform, which serves as a solid foundation for consistent enrichment and expansion of the bilateral agenda and the strengthening of the political dialogue.

The interlocutors highly valued the inclusive agenda of reforms driven by democratic changes in Armenia and the mutual readiness to advance the cooperation in this direction.

The Foreign Minister of Armenia and the Under Secretary of State discussed a number of international and regional issues. Within this context, Minister Mnatsakanyan presented the ongoing cooperation with global and regional partners aimed at strengthening Armenia’s security agenda. Minister Mnatsakanyan also underscored the importance of promoting inclusive regional connectivity projects which promote the establishment of peace and stability in the region.

At the request of his interlocutor Minister Mnatsakanyan touched upon the current situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process, Armenia's principled position on and approaches to this issue as well as Armenia's priorities in the agenda of June 20 meeting.
