Political Consultations Between the Foreign Ministries of Armenia and the UAE

On June 12, in Abu Dhabi, political consultations were held between the Foreign Ministries of Armenia and the United Arab Emirates.

The Armenian delegation was headed by Grigor Hovhannisyan, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, and the delegation of the UAE was led by Khalifa Shaheen Al Marri, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Political Affairs of the United Arab Emirates .

During the consultation a wide range of issues was discussed. particularly, concerning the development of Armenian-UAE relations, the high-level reciprocal visits, trade and economic cooperation, expansion of legal framework, activation of scientific-educational, cultural, interparliamentary ties,

The parties commended the importance of holding the first session of Armenian-UAE intergovernmental commission, as well as the implementation of the agreements reached between the relevant agencies of Armenia and the UAE.

The interlocutors also touched upon the issues of mutual interest of regional and international agenda, as well as the cooperation in international organizations.

At the end of the consultations Grigor Hovhannisyan briefed Khalifa Shaheen Al Marri on the latest developments in Nagorno-Karabakh peace process
