Political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Serbia

On May 31, political consultations were convened between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Serbia. The consultations were chaired by Avet Adonts, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, on the Armenian side, and by Nemanja Stevanovic, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, on the Serbian side.

During the consultations, a wide range of issues on the development of Armenian-Serbian relations were discussed, such as the establishment of diplomatic representations in Yerevan and Belgrade, the expansion of the legal framework, trade and economic relations, cultural and inter-parliamentary relations, as well as visa liberalization.

The sides also touched upon issues  of mutual interest related to regional and international agenda as well as bilateral cooperation within international structures.

Avet Adonts presented the latest developments on the peaceful resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, underscoring the importance of full support of the EU to the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.
