Discussion between the Government and civil society on the Draft Road Map for the Implementation of Title III (Justice, Freedom and Security) of EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement was held in the Foreign Ministry

On April 30, a Government-civil society discussion on the Roadmap for the implementation of Title III (Justice, Freedom, and Security) of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement was held in the Foreign Ministry.

Avet Adonts, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vigen Kocharyan, Deputy Minister of Justice, Janna Andreasyan, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Sedrak Barseghyan, Head of Staff of the Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, Hovhannes Kocharyan, Deputy Chief of Police, Armen Ghazaryan, Head of Migration Service DG  and other officials, as well as about 50 representatives of civil society participated in discussion.

The discussion covered the scope of Article 12  (Rule of law and respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms), Article 14 (Cooperation on migration, asylum and border management) and Article 15 (Movement of persons and readmission) of the Title III of the CEPA as well as Article 4 (Domestic Reforms) of Title III (Political Dialogue and Reform: Cooperation in the field of Foreign and Security Policy). Officials coordinating relevant sectors presented the taken steps aimed at the implementation of provisions. In their turn, the civil society representatives voiced their concerns and came up with a vision to address a number of issues.

At the end of the session, the participants reiterated their readiness to continue discussions in such format.
