Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan paid tribute to the memory of victims of the Rwandan genocide

05 April, 2019

On April 5, within the margins of an official visit to Kigali, Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan visited the Rwandan Genocide Museum and paid tribute to the memory of the victims.

Following the tour in the museum, the Foreign Minister of Armenia made a note in the Museum’s guest book: "It’s another reminder of collective responsibility to stand up against injustice, intolerance, racism, hatred… the root causes of genocide. Denial of genocide is the continuation of genocide.

The Genocide perpetrated by the Ottoman Turkey against the Armenian people in 1915-1923 and the fierce denial of it is a reminder that no political consideration, no compromise on moral responsibility will remove that very responsibility. I hope this Museum that is a strong manifestation of fighting Genocide and fighting its denial will be morally strong to stand up against the denial of that crime.”
