Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Armenia to Austria Armen Papikyan presented his Letters of Credence to Federal President of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen

On March 19, Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Armenia to Austria Armen Papikyan presented his Letters of Credence to Federal President of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen.

The ceremony of presentation of Letters of Credence was followed by a conversation during which Alexander Van der Bellen congratulated Armen Papikyan on his appointment as Armenia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Austria and wished him success in his diplomatic mission. The Federal President of Austria underlined the good friendly relations established between Armenia and Austria, while stressing the importance of ensuring their continuity.

Ambassador Papikyan assured of his readiness to do his utmost towards further deepening and enhancement of Armenian-Austrian cooperation.

Ambassador of Armenia conveyed to Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen the warm greetings and best wishes from the President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian. In his turn Federal President Van der Bellen asked to convey his warm greetings to Armenia’s President Armen Sarkissian.

Ambassador Papikyan noted that Armenia values the bilateral relations with Austria and in this regard stressed the necessity of organising frequent high-level visits and meetings

Upon the request of the Federal President of Austria Armen Papikyan briefed him on democratic developments and the course of reforms that are being implemented in Armenia. The regional issues were also touched upon.
