On February 20, Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan received Mohamed AlZaabi, the newly appointed Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates on the occasion of presenting the copies of his credentials.

Congratulating the UAE Ambassador of UAE upon assuming this responsible mission Minister Mnatsakanyan expressed confidence that  due to his active work Mohamed AlZaabi will give a new impetus to the multifaceted relations established between the two friendly countries.

The sides outlined the steps towards expanding the bilateral agenda, in this context, highlighting reciprocal visits, intensification of political dialogue, activities of the Intergovernmental Commission and the expansion of legal framework.

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and  Mohamed AlZaabi highlighted high technologies, creative education and alternative energy as the priority spheres of cooperation.

The sides exchanged views on a number of international and regional urgent issues.

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan briefed the newly appointed Ambassador of the UAE on the approaches and the principled position of Armenia on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
