Zohrab Mnatsakanyan received the European Union Ambassadors and Special Envoys for Eastern Partnership

On February 13, Foreign Minister of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan received the European Union Ambassadors and Special Envoys for Eastern Partnership.

Welcoming the guests Minister Mnatsakanyan noted that Armenia values ​​the Eastern Partnership as an effective platform based on common values ​​and outlined goals. In this context Minister Mnatsakanyan stressed that the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement between Armenia and the EU opens new opportunities for cooperation aimed at enriching the agenda of relations not only with the European Union, but with EU member states as well. According to Mnatsakanyan, it is also a good tool for promoting the development agenda of the Government of Armenia, aimed at creating favorable conditions for the development of high technology and innovation driven economy.

Touching upon the visa liberalization dialogue, the Foreign Minister underscored that it might serve as a good platform for bringing closer peoples and societies of Armenia and EU member states and raise mutual knowledge.

Foreign Minister Mnatsakanyan particularly emphasized the active role of civil society, as well as youth and women in ongoing domestic political developments in Armenia.

At the interlocutors' request Minister Mnatsakanyan touched upon the priorities and main directions of Armenia’s foreign policy, briefed on Armenia's position on urgent international and regional issues.
