On February 11, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, Foreign Minister of Armenia received Toivo Klaar, EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia.

Both sides highlighted regular contacts for exchanging views within the mandate of the EU Special Representative.

At the meeting issues of Armenia-European Union relations were discussed. The sides exchanged views on the recent meetings, works accomplished, as well as the upcoming activities to be held.

The interlocutors touched upon a number of regional issues.

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan briefed his interlocutor on the principled position and approaches of Armenia on exclusively peaceful settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict under the auspices of the Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship in this context underscoring the importance of creating and strengthening an environment conducive to peace.
