On February 7, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Austria and newly appointed Permanent Representative of Armenia to international organisations in Vienna Armen Papikyan presented his letters of credence to the Executive Secretary of Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) Lassina Zerbo.

Lassina Zerbo congratulated Armen Papikyan on assuming the office and wished him success while expressing conviction that during Armen Papikyan’s tenure the cooperation between the Preparatory Commission and Armenia will become even more multifaceted and comprehensive.

The Executive Secretary briefly presented the activities of the CTBTO and upcoming major events.

Expressing gratitude for the best wishes, Ambassador Papikyan assured of his readiness to do his best with the aim of enhancing and deepening the collaboration between Armenia and the CTBTO and its working groups. In this regard, Ambassador specifically highlighted the importance of cooperation aimed at further development of relevant scientific capacities of Armenia.

The interlocutors underscored the importance of high level visits, which could help outlining new ways of cooperation and its further development.
