Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with representatives of Estonian IT sector

On February 7, while on an official visit to Estonia, the delegation headed by Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan visited the e-Estonia showroom where was introduced to the achievements of Estonia in the spheres of high technology and e-governance.

Minister Mnatsakanyan, along with the representatives of Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies and the company coordinating e-governance projects in Armenia, EKENG, met with the representatives of leading IT companies of Estonia: Software OÜ, Levira, Votemo, Proekspert AS, which presented their activities and innovative ideas.

At the meeting Doris Põld, the Estonian ICT Cluster Manager, and Tõnis Nirk, Digital Ambassador of the MFA of Estonia, delivered opening remarks.

The Armenian and Estonian experts had an interactive exchange of views on the experience and achievements of the two countries in creating a favorable environment for the development of e-governance, start ups and high technologies. The sides also discussed the possibilities of initiating joint events.

In his remarks, the Foreign Minister of Armenia stressed that high technologies, smart development and digital sphere are among the priorities of the development agenda of the Government of Armenia. He noted that Armenia and Estonia share the same vision and commitment in this sphere, which open good perspectives for cooperation and further enrichment of bilateral agenda.
