Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with the Foreign Minister of Slovakia

On December 7th, during his working visit to Milan acting Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajčák.

The Acting Foreign Minister congratulated his counterpart on assuming the Presidency of the OSCE, reiterating Armenia’s support for the priorities of the Slovak Presidency.

Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Miroslav Lajčák exchanged views on issues related to cooperation within the framework of the OSCE and explored solutions for the challenges facing the organization. Both sides placed importance on guaranteeing the sovereign equality within the format of multilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, the sides also discussed issues on the agenda of Armenian-Slovak relations and steps aimed at the deepening of cooperation in spheres of mutual interest. Acting Foreign Minister Mnatsakanyan highlighted the importance of joint programs aimed at more effectively using the existing potential for cooperation in the spheres of innovation, high technology, and creative education.

The acting Foreign Minister briefed his counterpart on the latest developments on the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process and Armenia’s approaches to and positions on the settlement, and stressed the importance of guaranteeing the existential security of the people- the primary beneficiaries of the peaceful solution.
