Opening of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Armenia in Almaty

On November 12, the solemn ceremony was held on the occasion of opening the honorary Consulate of the Republic of Armenia in the Republic of Kazakhstan in the city of Almaty.

During the ceremony the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia Ara Sahakyan underscored that the activities of the Honorary Consul Harutyun Poghosyan will be aimed at further development of the trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian relations between Armenia and Kazakhstan.

Poghosyan thanked for the trust and ensured that he will make every effort to  properly fulfill his duties.

Ruslan Bultrikov, Head of the Representative Office of the MFA of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty, Evgeny Bobrov, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Almaty, Denis Van den Weghe, Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Belgium, Chairman of the Management Board of the Republican Public Association “Society of Honorary Consuls” in their speeches congratulated the newly-appointed Honorary Consul.

“Araks” dance ensemble of the “Masis” Armenian Union and Vram Minasyan, duduk player, performed at the reception held after the solemn ceremony.

The solemn opening of the honorary consulate was attended by the representative of the Embassy of Armenia to Kazakhstan, representatives of the Armenian community from different regions of Kazakhstan and other guests.
