On September 26, a meeting of Zohrab Mnatsakanyan Foreign Minister of Armenia and Elmar Mammadyarov, Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan took place in New York with the mediation and participation of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Igor Popov (Russia), Stéphane Visconti  (France), Andrew Schofer (USA). Andrzej Kasprzyk, the  Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office also attended the meeting.

The meeting started in an expanded format followed by the private conversation of Foreign Ministers. Armenian Foreign Minister reiterated the position and approaches of Armenia with regards the exclusively peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The sides had a useful exchange of views on the settlement of the conflict aimed at establishing sustainable peace in the region. The interlocutors agreed to continue the dialogue, including within the framework of the upcoming visit of the Co-Chairs to the region.
