Garen Nazarian, Deputy Foreign Minister met participants of the National Model UN Conference

On October 20, Garen Nazarian, Deputy Foreign Minister met participants of the National Model UN Conference, held at the United Nations Office in Armenia, to discuss with students-delegates the main directions of the UN activities, peculiarities and substantive issues ahead of the Conference dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the UN and the UN Sustainable Development Goals to-be-organized in Yerevan.

At the meeting, Garen Nazarian presented the priorities of Armenia at the UN, touched upon RA delegates’ engagement in the activities of that universal organization. Deputy FM answered numerous questions raised by the delegates, outlining that today Armenia is ready to further actively participate in the activities of the UN agencies; and based on the positive experience gained over the years, to bring its tangible input in global processes, i.e. democracy, protection and promotion of human rights, establishment of international security and peace.

Bradley Busetto, UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative for the Republic of Armenia, representatives of the UN Office and MFA of Armenia, students of Armenian universities took part in the meeting.
