On January 12, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Shavarsh Kocharyan received Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Armenia Ivan Volynkin.

During the meeting, both sides expressed deep concern over the brutal killings in Gyumri on January 12.

In this context Ambassador of Russia, conveying condolences, mentioned that the Russian side is interested in disclosure of the details of the incident as soon as possible and bringing the perpetrators to justice. He stressed that the leadership of the Russian military base located in Gyumri fully cooperates with the law-enforcement bodies of Armenia and contributes to the investigation of the case.
