On April 10, Acting Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received the Canadian Foreign Ministry's parliamentary secretary Deepak Obhrai.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, Deepak Obhrai noted that Canada is pleased to be present at the inaugural ceremony of the President of the Republic of Armenia and asked to pass a message of congratulations to the President from the Prime Minister of Canada.

Edward Nalbandian stressed that despite the geographical distance, Armenia and Canada actively cooperate in both bilateral and multilateral formats and the recently observed intensity of relations creates a good basis for further development.

The sides attached importance to the activity of inter-parliamentary friendship groups in the Parliaments of Armenia and Canada, which give an additional impetus to the bilateral cooperation.

Edward Nalbandian and Dipak Obhrai discussed Armenian-Canadian agenda issues, exchanged views on some international and regional issues.
