Minister of Foreign Affairs met the Lord William Wallace

On April 8, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian met the Lord William Wallace who is the party coordinator of the UK Government, as well as the spokesman of Government in the House of Lords on the issues of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defense and the staff of the Government.

During the conversation the Minister highlighted the importance of the recent high-level bilateral visits and the steps made for the development of trade and economic relations.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, the Lord Wallace noted that United Kingdom’s interest is growing in developing mutually beneficial cooperation with Armenia.

Minister Nalbandian and Lord Wallace recorded mutual interest in further deepening and expanding cooperation between the two countries.

The sides discussed Armenia-EU relations and the ongoing processes in that framework.

The parties discussed a number of regional and international issues. Minister Nalbandian presented to the guest the latest developments in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement. In this regard Lord Wallace pointed out that the United Kingdom sees the solution to the problem only through peaceful means and supports the efforts undertaken by the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs.
