On April 8 Edward Nalbandian met the newly appointed Ambassador of Mexico to Armenia, Rubén Alberto Beltrán Guerrero in regard of presenting the copies of the credentials.

Congratulating the Ambassador for his appointment Minister Nalbandian expressed hope that his work will stimulate the expansion and strengthening of relations between the two countries. Armenia's Foreign Minister expressed hope that the implementation of agreements reached during his visit to Mexico last year will be an additional stimulus for the development of Armenian-Mexican cooperation. Edward Nalbandian noted that the government of Armenia has decided to open an Embassy of Armenia in Mexico City this year.

Expressing gratitude for the reception, Ambassador Guerrero noted that his country attaches great importance to developing relations with Armenia and assured that he will make all efforts to further develop Armenian-Mexican friendship.

The parties also discussed the expansion of the legal framework between the two countries, as well as issues concerning cooperation in international organizations, trade, economic and cultural cooperation.
