On March 22 Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian hosted the Delegation of the Rapporteurs’ Group on Democracy of the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers
The delegation consisted of the Ambassadors of Poland, France, Germany, Switzerland and Ireland in the Council of Europe.

Welcoming the guests, the Minister noted that since its accession to the Council of Europe, Armenia has been actively involved in the activities of the organization, as well as has made extensive democratic reforms, the results of which got appropriate assessment in many reports and rankings of international organizations.

During the meeting a reference was made to many issues related to Armenia’s presidency in the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers, which will commence in May. In this aspect Minister Nalbandian said that Secretary General of the Council of Europe will visit Armenia in April and during this visit the priorities and activities of Armenia’s presidency will be concluded.

On the request of the guests Minister Nalbandian presented the efforts of Armenia and the international community in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement.
