The Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs met with the Japanese Deputy Prime Minister

Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian who is in Tokyo as a member of the delegation led by the Armenian President, had a meeting with Katsuya Okada, the Deputy Prime Minister of Japan on June 6.

The sides highly assessed the dynamic cooperation established between the two countries, expressing confidence that the visit of the RA President to Japan would give a new impetus to bilateral interaction.

Deputy Prime Minister Okada and Foreign Minister Nalbandian mentioned with satisfaction that the Armenian-Japanese relations have been on the rise since 2009, when they had their first meeting. The sides added that the agreements reached during that meeting are being implemented.

Edward Nalbandian expressed gratitude for the continuing support of Japan provided for Armenia’s development over the years.

The agenda of the meeting included issues related to the possible ways of the expansion of economic cooperation between the two countries, as well.
