The Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs received the Member of the European Parliament

On November 11, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian received Kristian Vigenin, the Member of the European Parliament.

Welcoming the guest, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nalbandian mentioned that the expansion of comprehensive cooperation between Armenia and the EU has always been one of the priorities of Armenia’s foreign policy and recently the obvious frequency of reciprocal visits and meetings is one of the proofs of it.

In the course of the meeting, issues related to the Armenia-EU interaction were discussed, in particularly the current stage of the negotiations being held over the Association Agreement in the frames of the Eastern Partnership and the interaction in the frameworks of the Euronest were touched upon.

Edward Nalbandian and Kristian Vigenin stressed the role of inter-parliamentary cooperation mentioning that it is an effective platform for dialogue and mutual understanding.

During the meeting the sides touched upon a number of regional and international issues.

Upon the request of the guest, Minister Nalbandian presented the recent developments in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.
