On May 13, the Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received the Special Envoy of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Deputy Foreign Minister Mohammad Reza Rauf Sheibani.

Welcoming the guest, Minister Nalbandian expressed his satisfaction with the relations dynamically developing with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Edward Nalbandian stressed the importance of the Armenian-Iranian cooperation, particularly in energy, transport and a number of other spheres.

The Armenian Foreign Minister and Special Envoy of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran discussed the process of implementation of the agreements reached in the course of the meeting of the Armenian and Iranian Presidents in March of this year.

Edward Nalbandian and Mohammad Reza Rauf Sheibani also stressed the work of the Armenian-Iranian inter-governmental joint commission in strengthening of bilateral economic relations. The meeting of the Armenian-Iranian inter-governmental joint commission is scheduled to hold in the near future.

The sides discussed a number of bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest.
