The newly appointed Ambassador of Sweden to Armenia presented the copies of her credentials to the Armenian Foreign Minister
22 March, 2011On March 22, the Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received Ms. Diana Janse, the newly appointed Ambassador of Sweden to Armenia (residence Tbilisi) on the occasion of presenting the copies of her credentials.
Congratulating the guest, Edward Nalbandian whished Ambassador Janse success in carrying out her new mission and expressed hope that Ms. Diana Janse as the former Ambassadors of Sweden, will contribute to the strengthening and development of friendly relations between Armenia and Sweden.
Expressing gratitude for the wishes, Ambassador Janse assured that she will do her utmost for the further deepening of bilateral relations between Armenia and Sweden.
Speaking about the bilateral Armenian-Swedish relations, the Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbanidan noted that Armenia attaches great importance to the development of cooperation between Armenia and Sweden in political, economic and humanitarian fields. In that context, Edward Nalbandian underlined the expansion of the legal framework, political dialogue, economic cooperation and cultural exchanges.
The Foreign Affairs Minister welcomed the agenda of the upcoming visit of the Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt to Armenia as an important step towards the development of bilateral relations.
The sides also touched upon the development of the relations between Armenia and the EU, as well as upon the cooperation activities within the existing frames.
Minister Nalbandian and Ambassador Janse exchanged views over the regional issues.
