Consultation of the Armenian Ambassadors in European countries took place in Paris
06 December, 2010On December 6, the Minister ofForeign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Edward Nalbandian who is in Paris on a transit visit held a consultation with the Armenian Ambassadors and Permanent Representatives accredited to the European countries and organizations.
In the course of consultation, they touched upon the foreign policy guidelines emphasized by the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and the process of implementation of the President’s instructions in the spheres of foreign policy.
Minister Nalbandian presented the heads of the Armenian diplomatic missions the cooperation launched with the European Union, as well as assigned a task on further intensification of their engagement in the European institutions and deepening of cooperation with the European organizations. They also exchanged views on the 11th session of the Armenia-EU Council held in Brussels on December 7.
During the meeting the results of the OSCE Summit held in Astana on December 1-2 were discussed.
The Armenian Ambassadors and Permanent Representatives presented the ongoing processes in their accredited countries and international organizations and the perspectives of the development of relations with Armenia.
On December 7, the Armenian delegation led by Edward Nalbandian will attend the 11th session of the Armenia-EU Council in Brussels. The Deputy Foreign Minister Karine Ghazinyan, the Deputy Minister of Justice Nikolay Arustamyan and the Deputy Minister of Economy Mushegh Tumasyan are in the delegation.
On December 8, the Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian will leave for Moscow to take part in the session of the foreign ministerial council of the CSTO and CIS member countries.
