On September 9, Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandian received the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Bernard Fassier, Robert Bradtke, Igor Popov and Andrzej Kasprzyk, the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, who arrived in Yerevan within the framework of a regional visit.

The Co-Chairs presented the results of their discussions held with the authorities of the NKR and Azerbaijan in Stepanakert and Baku.

The Armenian Foreign Minister mentioned that the direct participation of the NKR in the negotiations of the peaceful settlement is a necessity and would considerably support the settlement of the issue.

During the meeting they discussed the provocations on the NKR- Azerbaijan line of contact and their possible consequences on the negotiation process and on the situation in the conflict area.

The sides discussed the future activities and the continuation of the negotiations based on the Madrid proposals.
