The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Arman Kirakossian participates in the seminar organized by the Caucasus Studies Center of Iran

On August 3-4, the delegation headed by the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Arman Kirakossian was in Tehran to participate in the seminar organized by the Caucasus Studies Center of Iran.

The delegation visited the Caucasus Studies Center of the Tehran University, got acquainted with the activities and programmes of the Center and met with the staff.

\n

On August 4, the conference entitled “Armenia 2010: the experience of past and perspectives” organized by the Caucasus Studies Center was held at the Tehran University, which was attended by diplomats of the Foreign Ministry of Iran, former Ambassadors of Iran to Armenia, representatives of academic and political research centers of Iran. At the conference, Deputy Foreign Minister Arman Kirakossian and the Ambassador of Armenia to Iran Grigor Arakelian delivered speeches. Deputy Foreign Minister Kirakossian presented the priorities of Armenia’s foreign policy and Grigor Arakelian touched upon the perspectives of the Armenian-Iranian economic relations.

Within the framework of the visit the delegation headed by the Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister had a number of official meetings.

\n

Bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest were discussed with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran Sheibani.

\n

During the meeting with the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Education and Research Khorashmad, they discussed educational, research issues, as well as issues concerning the training of young diplomats. 

\n

The delegation, headed by the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Arman Kirakossian, was received by the Foreign Minister of Iran Manouchehr Mottaki. They both commended the current level of the Armenian-Iranian relations, attached importance to the mutual visits, as well as the further deepening of the Armenian-Iranian relations.
