On March 26, the visit of Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian to Moscow continued.

On the same day, the regular session of the Council of the Foreign Ministers of the member countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States took place. The delegation of the Republic of Armenia was headed by Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.

The works of Ministerial Council started within narrow format with participation of Heads of the delegations and the CIS Secretary General, afterwards the session continued with participation of the delegations.

The agenda of the session focused on more than two dozens of issues of CIS activities, including the implementation of the CIS development concept, the promotion of cooperation in the humanitarian area, the intensification of partnership in the fields of security and migration policy, cooperation between the law enforcement agencies and a number of other issues.

Ministers approved and presented to the affirmation of the CIS Heads of states the project of the Address to be adopted on 65th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

On the same day within the frameworks of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers Edward Nalbandian had a meeting with the newly appointed Foreign Minister of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko.

Minister Nalbandian congratulated his Ukrainian counterpart on taking the office and mentioned that he has expectations for close cooperation aimed at the raising the relations between the two countries on a qualitatively new level.

Ministers had a discussion on the intensification of political dialogue, the expansion of legal field, the cooperation within the international organizations.

Edward Nalbandian and Kostyantyn Gryshchenko exchanged views on regional and international issues and the ways of their settlement.
