On March 12, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Joao Soares and the delegation headed by him.

Welcoming the guests Minister Nalbandian stressed that Armenia highly appreciates the role of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in the establishment of inter-parliamentary dialogue and that the parliamentary diplomacy plays an important role in the current system of international relations.

The two discussed a number of issues concerning the OSCE activity.

On the guests’ request, Minister Nalbandian presented the recent developments in the process of settlement of Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) issue by attaching importance to the statements admitted on the issue by the OSCE Foreign Ministerial Councils in Helsinki in 2008 and Athens in 2009.
