Foreign Ministries of Armenia and Serbia held political consultations
24 February, 2010On February 24, political consultations between Foreign Ministries of Armenia and Serbia were held in Yerevan. The Armenian delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Karine Kazinian and the Serbian delegation – by Deputy Foreign Minister Mirko Stefanovic.
Representatives of Ministries of Economy, Agriculture, Culture of Armenia, as well as Armenian Development Agency and General Department of Civil Aviation participated in the consultations.
The parties discussed issues of bilateral relations, particularly the implementation of agreements reached during the official visit of the President of Serbia Boris Tadić to Armenia in July 2009, the intensification of bilateral economic contacts and elaboration of joint projects, cooperation of the two countries within international organizations.
They also exchanged views on the negotiation process of Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) issue.
On the request of the Serbian side, Deputy Foreign Minister Karine Kazinian presented the recent developments in the process of normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations.
On the same day the Serbian delegation was received by Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.
