Edward Nalbandian receives Peter Semneby, European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus
21 January, 2010On Januray 21, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian received Peter Semneby, European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus.
Summarizing the achievements of the previous year in Armenia’s eurointegration policy, the sides mentioned with satisfaction that Armenia-European Union relations are continuing their dynamic development in both multilateral and bilateral formats with member states.
Minister Nalbandian stressed that Armenia will continue to undertake bold steps aimed at strengthening of relations.
The two exchanged views on Eastern Partnership Program by attaching importance to the entire use of the program’s potential – drafting of Association Agreement, signing of Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement, visa facilitation.
They touched upon the negotiation process on Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) issue.
In the course of the meeting recent developments in the process of normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations were also discussed.
