Foreign Minister of Armenia starts visit to Paris

Consultation of Ambassadors of Armenia accredited in the European countries takes place

On December 14, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian who is in Paris for a working visit held consultation with Ambassadors and Permanent Representatives of Armenia accredited in the European countries and international organizations. Deputy Foreign Minister Karine Kazinian and Secretary-General Shahen Avakian attended the meeting.

During the consultation, they touched upon the process of implementation of instructions given by the President of the Republic during the annual meeting of the Heads of Diplomatic Missions of the Republic of Armenia held in Yerevan on September 2009.

Minister Nalbandian presented to the Heads of Armenian Diplomatic Missions the cooperation with the European Union, gave instructions for intensification of involvement to the European structures and the deepening of cooperation with the European organizations. The leadership of MFA and Ambassadors also touched upon the 17th session of the Council of OSCE Foreign Ministers held in Athens on December 1-2 and documents adopted during that session, as well as meeting of Foreign Ministers of EU Eastern Partnership program held in Brussels on December 8.

High-ranking Diplomats of Armenia had a detailed discussion on a number of regional and international issues. Tomorrow Edward Nalbandian will participate in the Conference of Foreign Ministers of International Organisation of the Francophonie, where Foreign Minister of Armenia is expected to deliver a speech.
